I did a search of the forum and it seems the majority of scud discussion is focused on lees ferry.
Also, found this link for Mr. Chan http://www.chironomid.com/articles/scuds.html (excellent). However, anyone regulary have some scuds in there boxes for stillwaters? White mountain guys? Rim rangers? Discuss..ty I'm gona take another look at the books. Maybe search 'az scuds' in google ... be on later today. Last edited by Drake Side of The Moon; 10-06-2012 at 05:56 AM. |

Cool. Just wondering why they very mention them in the Will Jordan and the other book. Maybe not enough #'s of them. Seems like a good pattern if the fish are feeding on the bottom depths and you can't coax them up.

We are very happy with where the fish are right now. 25% over 18 inches long. These 18 to 20 inch fish were at 9 inches two years ago at this time. Looked at some historical food habits on Becker. Looked like these fish are eating midge larvae until the damselfly hatch this summer. Later in the summer they eat snails and damsels. Gammuras are also taken fairly consistently throughout the spring and summer. '' Kelly Last edited by Drake Side of The Moon; 10-06-2012 at 03:54 PM. |

took my daughter to Big Lake when she was 6. The boat had a live well that would fill with water several inches. To my suprise there was a bunch of @ size 12olive Scuds swimming in the live well. I have since started fishing with them more. Usually an olive Hares ear works just fine. Your mileage may vary.
