AZ human caused mega-fires were most likely dodged this year with the closed forests if you compare to other Western states. This year AZ did have a pathetic human (fire restrictions were in place)...

AZ drought coupled with or caused by a warming earth cannot be a good thing.
An example of a warming earth is that Crater Lake now receives 200 less inches of snow as rain each year, than 30 years...

Easy to patrol lakes are likely to be open, less accessible lakes, not. If I was going up there anytime soon, instead of heading to Crater Lake, OR, I would be reading Forest Service...
