Has anyone credited the reduction of elk herds with the increase in willows? Elk sure hit Aspen hard and like willows too. Just not sure all those cow tags translate into more willows. Around...

Could not agree more; my go to rod is a 10' 5 wt. Helios 2 and sitting on the water casting out of a toon that extra foot makes more difference than one would imagine.

Not surprising given that there are dozens of rainbow varieties, for example. Seems natural that browns would also subspeciate. Cutthroat did the same.
