Well, it was bound to happen. The NPS has to err on the conservative side to protect what we have. I’ve not kept up with the goings on. This will cost me money since I only own felt.

Blue? Who knows? There's a tendency to use more reds in my homewater, with one local tier who swears by chartreuse. I throw a peacock stimulator that works very well in late summer.

Nice fish! :D Definitely cutthroat or cut-bow. Way too difficult to discern what potential cutthroat strain. :confused:

The hard fight described sounds pretty much like any cut-bow I've caught.

If the skeeters are light, a cigar usually works. When they become tougher than the cigar smoke, I pull the Ultrathon outof my pack and no more skeeters.

That is so cool. Itsk great to have the GF that hikes & fishes. I'm envious. I'm hopin' to do that same thing but in some nearby alpine lakes in Montana. Similar hiking conditions above treeline.

One advantage of Montana's system is that last year's license doesn't expire until March sometime. No extra for a "Trout Stamp" but they do charge extra for warm water species. Go figure.
