What brand line on the combos?

I'm trying to do some research on what fly lines manufactures are putting on their combos that they offer. So far I have not come up with any evidence of brand names used on these.

Does anyone have any light to shed on this subject? I know that it is generally going to be a WF Floating line, but I am interested in what brand line that each rod manufacturer is using on their combos.

Also, if you have any links to the facts... I would be most appreciative.

THANKS!!!

Orvis = Orvis most likely a clearwater
redington = Rio most likely a mainstream.
not sure about TFO.....Cortland or SA I would guess.

Thank you for the info WMF. That does seem to be the consensus on Redington. I wish I could find it in writing on their website...

Doh! As soon as I said that I went to Redington's website and used their built in search feature.

Quote:

2-piece and 4 piece outfits come with the new Red.Fly2 reel, prespooled with backing, knotless leader and RIO Mainstream fly line in a durable tan carrying case

As far as TFO goes, I think your idea on Scientific Anglers would make sense since TFO rods have Lefty Kreh's signature all over them these days and it would seem obvious to load the combo reels with SA Lefty Kreh line.
