Now trolling motor
Just bought a Minn Kota endura C2 30 for my pontoon. Does anyone have any experience with this particular motor? Wonder what your thoughts and suggestions would be

What do you mean? Should be good. I use a wheelchair battery for mine. Lasts full day or more if you are using it to get from spot to spot.

Plug and play! You may want to invest in a deep cycle marine battery.

Here is what I use for my Minn Kota Endura Max.

I use that same battery

I appreciate the recommendations

Remember once you mount a motor need license for boat if on non rez lakes. Even pontoons.

I’ve owned the boat for years but just got a motor for it. I don’t have any of the paperwork for it still... guess I’ll go By the AZGFD office and see if I can register it

The advantage of the wheel chair batteries is weight and they charge fast. However, they have a low amp hour (typically 35ah). Prior to Last season I bought an everstart 24ms at Walmart for $60.00 and it has 1000ca and 135ah. I keep it on a maintainer, use it a lot and it will go 2 days with a minimal amount of trolling. My buddy has carpal tunnel so he trolls almost exclusively. He spent $180 on a Trojan and can go 2 days as well. An interesting thing he did with that model trolling motor is he wired a remote control up front. Steers with his flippers and never reaches back.
We don't like getting stuck in the wind with a low battery. |
