Lakes South of Williams

Are JD Dam, Elk Tank, Middle Tank and Perkins Tank, frozen? I expect they are. Is there a time before the monsoon when they will be ice free? I know access time will vary but a general idea is sufficient.

Access is more of an issue right now because of the snow and perhaps road closures. USFS does gate much of the road systems until they dry out to prevent damage. They should be ice free by the end of March but it really depends on how cold the nights are. Check the daily weather for Williams and watch for when nighttime lows are above freezing.

Stoneflynut,

Sounds like good advice. Thank you.
