Cute article and I have no intention of being negative but there was a price to pay. The decades spent in reintroducing the Gila totally decimated fishing on the entire Gila river system with poisoning and closings. Smallmouth and flathead are just now making a comeback. Rainbows never mysteriously disappeared in the summer. Could triploids now be reintroduced in the forks area and leave the high country to the Gilas.
We now have Gilas and the tourists to go with it so I guess the ends justifies the means.
