Bucksnort

Did you go to the main stem or east fork?

Hello All, My log in name is Bucksnort. Currently, I live in Littleton, CO but later this summer or fall, we will move to Gilbert, AZ to be closer to our grandchildren. I have fly fished Colorado since moving here in March of 1978. Most of my fishing has been on the South Platte River drainage and other rivers in the mountains such as the Eagle, Frying Pan and Arkansas. I have also concentrated on high mountain lakes which require a walk of fewer than three or four miles or a not so tough four wheel drive trip.

In recent years, since my back went south on me and I can't stand or walk for long periods, I have concentrated on high mountain lakes, and some lower altitude lakes, requiring an easy four wheel drive trip and ones where I can easily launch my non-inflatable pontoon boat. I prefer smaller lakes and I'm not opposed to catching stocked fish. Heck, I learned to fly fish in 1978 on stocked fish. I am not necessarily a lunker hunter. I just love catching trout.
