    Hey John,
I knew you were up there and alive and well, I just haven’t seen you. I will be up for the season in a couple of weeks. I took the back way into Carnero last Tuesday but did not fish. Had a weather front come through and the temp 20 degrees before the snow started.

If you happen to get on Carnero in the near future I would love to here a brief report. I have had some wonderful days on that lake. Hope to run into you this year.
    Regards,
    Mike Lyons

1 More cast.....sorry for the late response. I don't get here very often. In the lakes it all depends on the time of the year. Simi's will work any time of the year. Early on it's midges, then smallish mayflies and caddis as they begin to hatch. Damsels come next in June/July. Generic WM patterns include peacock ladies, buggers, w. worms, leeches and as the bugs begin to hatch usually a 14-18 para Adams is a good fly that seems to work everywhere. I usually throw an intermediate line and let it sink to the appropriate depth where the fish are feeding. Always have a floater for any top water action that may occur.

    Hope this helps

    John:

This is Tom Wagner (you helped donate to RMEF banquet for me years ago) --- I'm fishing buddies with Kevin Fleming, I'll be ordering some flies this weekend on a sale (since I'm just starting tying), and would like your help if you have just a few minutes.

Could you give me a short list of your favorite flies for the White Mtn. lakes? Dries, nymphs, terrestrials --- the basics (and what sizes of each)? I've done a search on AzFlieandTie, but would like to get a more solid core list to base everthing on for the coming year --- I respect your expertise. Thanks again, Tom (aka "1morecast")

Sorry for getting back to you late John. I didn't know about this new feature. These things don't go to Private Messages and I just happen to click on my user cp. Its not a problem at all. Kevin already gave me the heads up and told me what happen. I am glad you got this taken care of for me and the shop. I was told Kevin that you guys should send back your beads also for the shop because of the low quality. I was told by other's that they have not had any problems with there beads. So I was a little suprised at what we both got lol. I heard you set them straight and I am looking forward to getting the good beads! Thanks again for handling the headache for me.
