BTW there are legs coming back from the head like any other Pheasant tail you just cant see them in the picture because they are so thin. They almost come out translucent.

Plateau Angler, that wet fly collar is SWEET! Nice tie.

Josh, I use partridge on these as well but like the color of the hen. Best of all, the soft hackle hen saddle patches are cheap, only $4-5 each compared to $25 or so for a #1 Grade partridge skin...:)
