Hey guys. Lots of seminars going on in the store this weekend with a focus on how and where to fish in the state, plus free food all day long.

Saturday, May 10th
• 13 year old tier, Jonathon Croom, will be giving a tying demo throughout the day. He will show tying techniques and various patterns.
• Club Day-Members from various Federation and Trout Unlimited clubs will be on hand to give out information and talk about the benefits of belonging to the various clubs in the valley.

10:30
Advanced Casting-Come let the experts teach you the advanced techniques of fly casting (double haul, etc)

Noon
Small Streams- Fishing Manager Cinda Howard will be talking about fishing the small streams of Arizona. This is one of our most popular seminars and will be a PowerPoint presentation that will cover places to fish, technique, rigging, and everything else you need to know.

1:30 p.m.
Knot tying with Jack Houck

3:00 p.m.
Cool Hikes for Warm Weather- Our hiking expert, Lee Lynch, will be giving a visual presentation on places to hike when the temperatures rise. This will cover hikes you can take in Northern Arizona (with emphasis on hiking with a fly rod).

4:30 p.m.
Tying Demo-demo of various flies and various techniques

Sunday, May 11th
• To honor Mother’s Day, all the moms will be entered into a drawing to win a Ladies Insect Shield shirt.

12:30 p.m.
Timing is Everything- Did you miss the big cruising browns in the high country? Did you happen to catch the big rainbow spawners? If not, you might want to come hear when to hit what waters.

2:00 p.m.
Flyfishing Lee’s Ferry-The Ferry has been HOT for quite a while now. Come see a presentation that will cover everything you need to know about this famous fishery.

3:30 p.m.
Flyfishing the trout lakes of Arizona-This is a great presentation on where, how, and when to fish the high country lakes. It will cover various techniques, rigging, depths, etc.

what store??Unless you are planning on attending out of state, there is only one. Scottsdale. Plus you missed it by 4 days.

Actually I've been to two other stores in the state that are, I guess, Orvis endorsed. The fly shop in Pinetop called Paradise Creek and a fly shop in Prescott called Lynx Creek. All I know is both these places had great big Orvis signs outside for everyone to see. I'm sure it's not the same thing, but at least you can get Orvis gear there.
