Six weeks out, lets get this list started:
1. Seldom - 24 brats + trimmings (actually 23 + 1 for WhtMtn_FlyFisherman)
Thanks for remembering me , those Brats sure went fast last year rantrant.
Any special theme this year? Last year was Mexican wasn't it, and first year was AJ's Brisket-to-die-for (if I remember correctly).

ajdtiger's brisket. Dunno what he is doing this year yet.
We had themes last year since we did two potlucks. This year we are cutting it to one, so it is a free-for-all.

I'll add another meat dish to the list (unless you'd prefer something else). I'll make chevapchichi.
It's like a small sausage made from pork, beef, and veal. Pretty tasty and makes a good side to go with everything else.

My first choice would be to bring the dutch ovens and do some cobblers ...but since we are flying out they might get my bag over the 50lb limit.
Put me down to make some boozed baked beans. Great recipe out of the Jack Daniels cookbook ...the problem will be to make sure and save enough to cook with:beer:
(We are staying in one of the condos ....I'm assuming they have an oven?)

It's Yugoslavian. Serve them with a little onion and some feta cheese... delicious. Wash them down with the left over Jack from dbltea's beans and you're living well

Hey Nittany ...I'll save a little Jack for sure ...that sounds good and I love trying new and different foods.
Also if you have an extra Penn State stuff laying around I'll be glad to bring it back for my AGGIE buddies in my office after you guys crush them!

Deb and I are still planning on it, but it's still a month away. We'll probably do something like green chili smothered elk burritos...unless anyone objects. The folks in Hatch did a pretty good job this year and the yearling I got 2 weeks ago is super tender! To compliment the Jack, we'll bring a bottle of Crown Special Reserve ;)

When do we start talking about what flies we are using and some of my best times were during winter when the sun was out, and I was catching them on dries, I will have plenty of patterns to share and I still think we should have door prizes and the winning tickets can be sold for acquire more pins or whatever..I would be willing to donate a box of flies for the door prize and I'm sure we have other goodies someone would like to have...

All of the above. If you need any specialty cookware, like an omelet skillet, bring it.

And if you have a good frying pan bring it! No offense to Gretchen and her place but the pots and pans there had more teflon peeling off it than what's left in the pan. I don't like green eggs and teflon!:D

I have been "asked" to lead an urgent project at work, so me and my chevapchichi may not make the trip afterall. Instead of crashing at Abe's, I may be crashing at a Days Inn near LAX.
I still hope to make it - even if I have to head up there late on Friday. But, just in case, I wanted to throw the disclaimer out there that I may not be able to make the potluck. rantrant

Just wear your waders for the flight home to contain it.
Take them off in baggage claim for a clear path to the carousel.
