Thursday Dinner and Tie

I'm thinking about opening the front door for a spagetti dinner, tying get-together once a month on a Thursday evening.

Anyone interested in this?

I would be willing to do it.. We need to be fairly organized. Pick a pattern and such. That way we can limit the materials and equiptment that has to be hauled around..

I have yet to start with the tying yet but if I was there I would certainly join for the food, drink and prevaricating.

There is a group in Las Cruces NM that meets once a month ...they call themselves the "Liars and Tiers Club" ....cool idea.

What night are we talking? I would be down for a lie and tye. I have a bunch of extra hooks and materials from the shop in Tucson I would be more than happy to share. That way no one has to run out and make a special trip. It would be fun to twist up some bugs for the Whites. Maybe do a streamer pattern and a nymph pattern... Thoughts???

There used to be a group of guys in the metro valley who meet on a Thursday every month to tie flies. The small group was call the lie, tie and pie club. I think it would also be nice to help some of those who have just started tying also. So you may need another table set up for that. Another idea is that when the lie and tie group I belong to several demo a pattern for everyone else and takes them through the steps of tying a fly. Maybe once a date is set some suggests as to what some people would like to see tied and other stepping up to teach the pattern. Just some thoughts being sounded out. But, the Host has a lot to say on how things will go in his home, which is fine by me as it should be. Gary
