Ashurst Lake 8-18-18
Aug 19, 2018 - 5:58 PM - by Flyfisher20"
It was a great morning. Landed five big Rainbows and lost one scary pike at my toes. All Rainbows were about 18". The Pike was closer to 24". It literally pulled my float tube around in a circle. All fish were hooked on a variety of streamers. Brown, black, and silver. All fish caught in the far southern end of lake. Water quality poor. Algae and large beds of weeds. Lighting and rain ran me off about 12:30 pm.

Lower Salt River
Apr 04, 2018 - 1:47 PM - by Bucksnort
I see so much information about the lower Salt, I don't know which way is up or down.

Will someone tell me where I can go to wade the river and when to go? I know I can wade at the parking area near the bridge on the Bush highway.

My general area of interest is the Pacific Northwest but no place in particular at this point. Probably Montana, Idaho or Oregon but I'm open to almost anywhere up in that general direction. So I'm throwing this new mindset out there into the wind in hopes that some of you may have a suggestion for such an idyllic place. I have subscribed to numerous fishing magazines... [Read More]
