Planning on moving

I have finally come to the conclusion that I need to relocate from Az to somewhere that has a lot of awesome fishing close by. My general area of interest is the Pacific Northwest but no place in particular at this point. Probably Montana, Idaho or Oregon but I'm open to almost anywhere up in that general direction. Cicada's are...

Cicada's have started singing in Payson yesterday afternoon! They're going pretty strong right now as well.

No idea what they're doing on top of the Rim, think I'll take a ride tomorrow to see if the cicada's song is present tomorrow morning. If I'm lucky, maybe I'll get my tube out on some Rim country still waters and chase some Tigers.

Rim Stream Update

Thought I might post an update on Rim streams if anyone is interested. About 2 weeks ago I fished Canyon, Upper Haigler and Upper Christopher. A couple of days ago I hiked the short canyon on the E. Verde above Water Wheel up to Second Crossing. Yesterday I fished Horton. In spite of the monsoons, all the creeks are quite low. Canyon, Upper Haigler, and Horton are all low and clear, making stealthy approaches and at least decent presentations super important or you’ll just spook any fish there... [Read More]
