Has anyone found cheaper fluorocarbon at .005 (5x) in spools larger than the typical small spools most of us pay about $15 for? I found some that were 200 yards for $25 but still a bit thick...

Gila Trout
Jun 21, 2019 - 9:11 AM - by Bucksnort
I am not a fisheries biologist and I don't play one on television. I know they do a lot of research to establish bag and possession limits but my concern is that given the rarity of Gila trout, why is there a two fish limit on some fishing areas. Frye Mesa Reservoir comes to mind.

New Mexico Gila Trout
May 30, 2019 - 9:08 AM - by Bucksnort
In August, I will return from my annual fishing trip to Colorado. My driving route takes me through Farmington, NM then Gallup then on to Holbrook and home through Payson.

I am considering making a side trip to western NM to attempt to catch a Gila trout but I don't know where to go. Any suggestions? I will do some research on the internet.
